Cristian Mazzon
Through the years the self- taught painter Cristian Mazzon, aka Krisma,
thanks to his sharp and attentive observation of forms and shapes, has developed
mastery of color and of its expression on the canvas, which allows him to
communicate diffused light and transparency, distinctive signs beyond the
hidden meaning expressed by the subjects.
As a whole and with their visual impact, the paintings establish an immediate
communication, void of obstacles, and a symbiosis of forms, at times unexpected
but well mixing together in the choice of color combination, technically
transposed over a sketched pencil drawing on simple hand gessoed canvases
having a very thin texture, through a patient work of strokes that pull
the dye until it becomes like silk, fluid and luster.
In the vastity of expression that appears through the different phases of this artist, among the oil paintings, there are wonderful charcoal portraits, perfectly depicting the expression of the subjects.
And from the sea of possibilities, past the canvas, almost as a support of the art expressed so far, the first forms of the subjects since long time depicted are emerging from white carrara marble, destined to stand up from the canvas and acquire their own autonomy of three dimensional movement.
